HOME PARK AND THE COMMUNITY GARDEN
FOHP want to turn the much pit area into a community garden.
It looks like Lewisham Council do too!
The idea is that it becomes a space for local children and schools to grow their own food. Slowly we are helping build different activities in the park for kids to learn and play.
Below is a link to the brochure. We can help Home Park become one of Capital Growths 2012 new growing spaces in London by the time the olympics arrives.
A derelict or unused piece of land, some dedication, commitment and green fingers are all that’s required to get a community garden up and running.
To find out more here is a link some more information and to the very nicely designed brochure (it’s a pdf):

We will be talking about this on Thurdsday at the Bridge Leisure centre, Kanleigh Bridge Road from 7.00pm
