Since Friends of Home Park had a vision for the redesign of the front of Home Park including a piazza. After several years of networking, building partnerships and support for the project. Work has now started on the new piazza outside at Home Park/Sydenham Community Library. Both Awards for All and the Veolia Trust providing extra funding. By the end of October, we should have new paving, plants, and seats with book motifs carved by local artist Dave Evans.
The piazza is being built at the entrance to Home Park, outside Sydenham Community Library. This is designed to make the park safer and more welcoming and to provide outside space for library and community activities.
FoHP also thank:
Lewisham Council

FoHP are working with Friends of Sydenham Community Library others to plan an exciting event to celebrate the completion of the work , The event is planned for Saturday 6th December star at 3.30 at Home Park/Sydenham Community Library.

Fabulous! Well done to Anthony an those who have made this happen. I can’t wait to see the result and know that it will open up that area in front of our treasured library . Shelly
