About FOHP

Friends of Home Park (FOHP) have been set up by local residents because:

We want better play areas for kids, we want better sports facilities, better integration of library and park and a safer, better maintained park for all.

If you want to get involved please contact us via this blog.

Thankyou.

    Hi FOHP

I read about your work in the Sydenham Society News letter. As a local resident I am very interested in what you are doing and would possibly like to become a member of FOHP. However, I am not sure how helpful or active I can be having very little time to offer you. Please could you let me know how I might join?

    Regards

    Sally Bazeley

I am searching for a Photo / Painting / Drawing of the old Home Park Mansion before it was demolished in 1901.
    Big reward given

HI, I didn’t know there was one! If you find a picture of it please send us an example so we can post it on the blog. The best person to ask is Steve Grindley. If you go to the history section of the http://www.sydenham.org/forum you can ask the question there.

I know Home Park was a recreational playing ground originally. After world war 2 there were prefabs behind the park and now there are high rise blocks. I live in Fairlawn Park next to Home Park which are from about 1890. If you have any images of the area please let mw know, I’d love to publish some on the blog if that’s ok with you!

      Keep in touch.

      Regards

      Lee

There was a campaign meeting today to save the library, well attended. People really need to write to the Mayor to convince him to save Sydenham library from the cuts. It would be devastating for Sydenahm and the surrounding areas to lose the library currently and for future generations.
